The AMBER Alert™ Program is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, transportation agencies, and the wireless industry, to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and the safe recovery of the child.

Each child has the right to lead a healthy, safe existence, which will promote their capacity and opportunity to become responsible, productive adult citizens. The Children's Cabinet exists to keep children safe and families together by offering services and resources that address unmet needs, through a unique and effective cooperative effort between the private sector and public agencies in Northern Nevada.

Nevada Child Seekers, a registered nonprofit organization, created in 1985, and incorporated in 1996. We are the only nonprofit, missing children’s organization in Nevada and we do not charge for our services. We diligently work to keep parents closely involved in their cases and are available to assist the proper authorities. Trained, police-screened volunteers carry out many of our education programs enabling us to be efficient and effective.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services for the unincorporated area of Washoe County. We also are responsible for operating the only adult detention facility for pretrial detainees and sentenced misdemeanants within Washoe County.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies and the American Correctional Association.

The Sparks Police Department is dedicated to being a leader in building a strong, safe community through innovative services, sound management, and a commitment to their employees. The Sparks Police Department also participates in regional law enforcement efforts. These efforts include the Regional Gang Unit, the Repeat Offender Program, the Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy, the Regional Street Enforcement Team, DEA taskforce, Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit, Truckee Meadows Citizens Police Academy and the Consolidated Bomb Squad.

The Henderson Police Department strives to work with the city of Henderson residents to make our community one of the safest in the country. The Henderson Police Department is one of the most technologically advanced in the country and nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies

The SNCTC mission focuses on counter-terrorism; tactical crime analysis; critical infrastructure; emergency management; and chemical, biological, radiological/nuclear, and explosive incidents response mitigation functions. SNCTC maintains a 24/7 watch operation and acts as a centralized, comprehensive intelligence fusion center, specifically designed to coordinate the exchange of criminal intelligence on a regional/ statewide basis.

Established in January 2008, the Northern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center (NNCTC) acts as a centralized, comprehensive Fusion Center, specifically designed to coordinate the exchange of intelligence information on a national, statewide and regional basis in furtherance of protecting the citizens and critical infrastructure assets of the United States of America and specifically Northern Nevada.
