After less than one year in service, the free Alert I.D. program is being credited with helping to lower Washoe County's crime rate by a staggering 32 percent. When people are aware, and they have information, they can do great things, said Sheriff Mike Haley.


Governor Brian Sandoval and his cabinet leaders will now receive emergency updates about crimes, disasters and emergencies through AlertID, the free service that now provides such information to tens of thousands of Nevadans.

Florida:  Easy Way to Track Crime in Your Community
